Speakers included IPPF country directors, Dr Galyna Maistruk from Ukraine, Dr Hiba Ahmed Khalil Badr from Sudan, Ammal Awadallah from Palestine, Marta Royo from Colombia, Dr Anjum Rizi from Pakistan, and Mr Ib Petersen, senior representative of UNFPA. The meeting was chaired by Ambassador Fergel Mythen, Permanent Representative from Ireland. Speakers from the governments of Albania, France, Mexico, Norway, Switzerland, UK and USA, as well as from Ukraine and Colombia, among others, expressed support for the work of the speakers in their respective countries in situations of war and persecution, massive refugee crises, and climate disasters.
