UN WOMEN – New head of UN Women to be appointed

Sima Sami Bahous of Jordan, Jordan’s ambassador to the United Nations until recently, to be appointed executive director of UN Women, succeeding Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka of South Africa and the third person, after Michelle Bachelet of Chile, to hold the post since the agency’s founding in 2010.
