We are writing to you because the fight for legal, safe and accessible abortion in Poland is entering a new phase. Some of us have been helping with abortion in Poland for 20 years – literally helping by providing access to pills. Over the last few years, we have learned thousands of your stories that doctors, medical staff or the Ministry of Health do not know. Because most abortions in Poland happen outside the system – with us.
We are not only practitioners, but also recognized experts in the field of medical abortion. We take part in international trainings, conferences and therefore we know how, in accordance with the WHO guidelines and practice in countries where abortion is legal, access to it and health care related to it should look like.
We demand full access to abortion, in accordance with international standards. Abortion is the right of every pregnant person, and the decision to terminate it should be up to them alone – without questions, judgment or pressure.
