Stress and Exhaustion in Providing and Accompanying Safe Abortions

Within the framework of the CLACAI meeting held in Santa Cruz-Bolivia, reflections emerged on the exhaustion related to safe abortion services and accompaniments in the region. It indicates that in view of this situation, a self-care and support group has been created to provide and accompany safe abortions as a way of placing dialogue in the entire CLACAI community and where appropriate. This report shows the survey that evaluates the impact of wear and stress for providing and accompanying safe abortions in contexts of Covid 19.

Self-care and support protocol for providing and accompanying safe abortion
The Self-Care and Support Protocol for Providing and Accompanying Safe Abortion is an initiative of a working group of the Latin American Consortium Against Unsafe Abortion (CLACAI), whose purpose is to contribute to the development of resources that contribute to the support and enabling environments of those who accompany or provide access to safe abortions to women and people with the possibility of abortion, without implying risks that could undermine their well-being and especially their mental health and so that said accompaniment or assistance reaffirms the right they have to take their own decisions.
