AFRICA – African Women’s Rights Protocol should be implemented throughout Africa

On 11 August 2022, the 19th anniversary of the Maputo Protocol (The Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa) Ethiopian President Sahlework Zewde (photo above) called for it to be implemented with better speed and strength by involving all Africans. According to the President, even though the implementation of the Protocol has progressed, some countries have not even ratified it yet. SOURCE: Walta Info, by Pawlos Belete , 11 August 2022
