Aya Contigo is your digital companion for accessible, confidential, and comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare. We support women and gender-diverse people by providing private, evidence-based resources and human accompaniment.
Co-created with over 1,000 Latinas and grassroots organizations across Latin America, Aya Contigo is backed by leading international sexual and reproductive health experts. Powered by Vitala Global—a tech nonprofit founded by two OB/GYNs with experience at Médecins Sans Frontières and WHO—Aya is designed to meet your needs.
Aya Contigo is an app platform that accompanies women through a safe medication abortion and family planning journey virtually, providing them with evidence-based, reliable, private, digital resources to avoid an unsafe abortion.
Aya Contigo was co-created with 1,000 Latinas and a dozen Latin American grassroots organizations, in partnership with leading international SRH organizations.
Aya Contigo has the potential to demonstrate a virtual abortion accompaniment model as an essential safe, acceptable and feasible Harm Reduction tool in the safe abortion ecosystem. Its role is to support quality of care through a self-managed medication abortion.
It can reduce indirect costs and resources associated with traditional over-the-phone or in-person accompaniment models, while increasing access and outreach.
Aya empowers women to self-manage their sexual and reproductive health journey and provides a scalable approach to increasing access to reliable safe abortion, family planning, and SGBV information and support.
Aya is co-designed in a particularly challenging humanitarian context (Venezuela) therefore Aya can be scaled to other challenging settings to address the sexual and reproductive health needs of the most vulnerable and marginalized women and girls in similarly challenging contexts.
