After the 2023 elections, we had hoped the state would stop prosecuting us and maybe, finally, offer support. Now we know – not only will politicians not make our lives easier, they might make them even harder. That’s why we must organize again. And we know we can’t do this without you.
After eight years of PiS rule and the still ongoing case against Justyna, we had just one wish: decriminalization of abortion. No threat of prison. No fear. No laws that turn helping someone into a crime. That law could have changed everything. But it was buried by those who promised more: Razem, the Left, KO, and the Third Way. Today, there is no law. No courage. And no one brave enough to sign the bill.
The truth is: For thirty years, women in Poland have had abortions because someone helped them. Not the state. Not the system. But other people – friends, partners, sisters, activists. It’s not institutions that provide access to abortion – it’s us. It’s you. It’s a civil society that refused to give up.
