En el marco del Día de Acción Global por la Despenalización del aborto, el podcast Las Públicas, pionero en el Perú produciendo contenido radiofónico y sonoro sobre la situación del aborto en ese país, lanzó su último episodio titulado “Saberes Clandestinos” financiado por la Universidad de Exeter (UK). En esta entrega, el equipo de investigación de Las Públicas reconstruye la historia de cómo se ha ido transmitiendo y transformando el conocimiento en torno al uso de pastillas misoprostol para abortar de manera segura en Perú desde las voces de quienes participaron de estos hechos. Saberes Clandestinos reúne los testimonios de personal de salud que trabajó en la década del 80, investigadoras, personajes de la comunidad científica y activistas de la región que narran lo que vivieron a partir de la aparición de este medicamento y el impacto en la salud de las mujeres. For International Safe Abortion Day, Las Públicas, a trailblazer in Peru producing radio and audio content about abortion in Peru, launches its latest podcast episode entitled “Saberes Clandestinos” (Clandestine Knowledge) funded by the University of Exeter (UK). In this episode, the Las Públicas research team reconstructs the story of how knowledge about the use of misoprostol pills for safe abortion in Peru has been transmitted and transformed through the voices of those involved. Saberes Clandestinos brings together the testimonies of health personnel who worked in the 1980s, researchers, members of the scientific community and activists from the region who narrate their experiences as this drug emerged and the impact it has had on women’s health.
