POLAND – Hello!! from Women’s Strike / Ogólnopolski Strajk Kobiet

There are no holidays in Polish politics. Today’s meeting at Nowogrodzka Street did not bring a breakthrough, but one thing is becoming clearer – the PiS monolith is cracking.

We admit: we have been waiting for this moment for years. You can sit down with popcorn and watch as successive PiS factions jump at each other’s throats, and the weakened Kaczyński is less and less able to control his own base.

But there is one problem.

Vultures are already circling over these PiS ruins. Braun. Mentzen. Bosak. Berkowicz. Fritz and all the rest of the extreme right, which dreams of a Poland that is weak, quarrelsome, turned away from Europe and closer and closer to Russian influence.

That is why today, despite the satisfaction with the collapse of PiS, we cannot trumpet victory.

On the contrary – we must prepare for the next fight.

We have only one year to stop the extreme right-wing wave and do everything so that the Confederation does not come to power on the ruins of PiS.

We do not want a Poland in which contempt for the weaker is called “realism”, aggression is called “patriotism”, and isolation from Europe is called “sovereignty”. We do not want a country that will take away more rights from women, LGBT+ people, migrants or anyone who does not fit into their vision of the world.

Today, the most important thing is this one thing: not to allow PiS to be replaced by an even more radical right.

That’s why we put the popcorn away. Roll up your sleeves. Time to get to work.

Already this autumn, we are launching a nationwide campaign, in which we will step by step check and expose the lies, manipulations and promises that are not covered by the Confederation.

You can be part of this campaign.

Soon we will tell you how you can get involved and work with us to stop the march of the far right.

And support us now so that we have the means to continue the fight.

Until the next one!
