EUROPE – SAFE (SUPPORTING ABORTIONS FOR EVERYONE): New resource for abortion activists in Europe

Just over a year ago, (SAFE) launched Abortopedia (www.abortopedia.eu) — a free, secure, multilingual resource for frontline abortion activists across Europe. It has since grown into a hub of practical tools, guidance, and strategies for groups at any stage.

Created by and for activists, Abortopedia is designed for Europe, though some content is useful globally. We encourage you to sign up or share it with others who may benefit.

Available in 11 languages, Abortopedia covers:

  • Supporting people seeking abortion care
  • Safety and digital security
  • Building and sustaining support groups
  • Fundraising, communications, and burnout prevention
  • Inclusive support for diverse communities
  • Legal landscapes across Europe.

To get access, visit www.abortopedia.eu. Click on “Create an account,” and complete a short onboarding process (including a digital security quiz).

Abortopedia is a work in progress — we welcome feedback on missing or outdated content.

Other SAFE resources:

Training:

Free or low-cost training is available on topics covered in Abortopedia. Online sessions are free for grassroots activists, and there is a sliding scale for others.

Funding
