WEBINAR: Climate Change: The Impact on Women’s Health, 18 June 2025
United Nations: Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. Human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas.
This information-packed webinar focuses on the negative effects of climate change on pregnant women’s health and on the health of their babies in utero.
Only one example was of a Japanese hospital in very hot weather. Newborn babies slept in cots in a room on the top (7th) floor. Deaths among them were reduced when they were moved to a ground floor room that was cooler.
