MIDDLE EAST – Call for expert training consultants on the MISP for Reproductive Health in Emergencies

As part of its efforts to improve emergency preparedness measures and to be able to respond quickly and effectively at the onset of a crisis, UNFPA Arab States Regional Office (ASRO) is creating a regional roster of expert training consultants on the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for Reproductive Health (RH) in emergencies. The objective is to build the capacity of relevant country-level partners within the Arab States region on the implementation of the MISP and the transition to more comprehensive RH services when the situation permits.

Therefore, UNFPA ASRO seeks the application of interested and qualified experts to be part of a regional MISP trainers’ roster.

Please disseminate this call more widely for applications to your respective professional networks.

And we add from the Campaign: please try to ensure that trainers in provision of abortion services are included, including those with experience of providing medical abortion pills and post-abortion care in emergency settings. Please also note that no matter what national law says, provision of abortion care in emergency settings is permitted.

Deadline for applications: 31 May 2018
