Gynuity Health Projects writes: As part of our effort toimprove access to abortion care, especially among populations who may facebarriers, we recently launched the Spanish version of our TelAbortion website.Both the English and Spanish versions can be accessed at Telabortion.org.
The project has sites at Planned Parenthood and other familyplanning centres in ten US states: Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Minnesota,Montana, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, and Washington.
A TelAbortion involves all the same steps andprocedures as an in-person medical abortion, but you do not have to travel to an abortion clinic.Instead, an abortion provider conducts a video evaluation over the internet.All the necessary tests are done at medical facilities close to your home. Theabortion pills are then sent to you by mail. To qualify, you must beable to take the first abortion pill before you are 70 days (10 weeks) along inyour pregnancy.
