As we journey through 2025, we’re thrilled to share the latest updates from our vibrant community. From empowering young leaders to advocating for education, here’s what’s buzzing at Reach A Hand Uganda!
Our Peer Educators Academy is marking its 11th cohort! Can you believe it? Over the past decade, we’ve equipped young advocates aged 18-24 with the skills and knowledge to champion Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), livelihoods, social behavioral change communication, and advocacy. This year, our dynamic cohort has just wrapped up three weeks of intensive training, with one final week of physical classes to go. The excitement is palpable as these young leaders prepare for their year of service, ready to spearhead projects that will create change in their communities.
Our Back to School Campaign, launched on January 17th with a vibrant procession in Lungujja, continues to advocate for the importance of education, especially for young girls. With the theme “Safe and Supported”, this campaign promotes the safe return of students to school after the long holiday and encourages young mothers to pursue their education despite the challenges they may face.
