September 28 MAMA Network Launch Announcement: TICAH in Partnership with Women Help Women and other partners in sub-Saharan Africa launch a network of safe abortion hotlines as we mark September 28.
We jointly launched the MAMA network (Mobilising Activists around Medical Abortion) that is co-convened by WHW. The programme is supported by AmplifyChange. The aims of the MAMA network are to improve the quality of information and services locally, create new resources for women and community health workers, and strengthen the outreach and visibility of local hotlines through joint action. The programme mobilises community health workers and lay activists to share information about abortion pills and become advocates for abortion rights.
