ANNOUNCEMENT: Shilpa Shroff and Michelle Y. Lee join Campaign Coordination team

We are very pleased indeedto announce two important new additions to the Campaign Coordination team:

Shilpa Shroff

Shilpa is a medical doctor, a public health professional and an epidemiologist with 25 years’ experience in maternal and child health and advocacy for sexual and reproductive health and rights and safe abortion. She worked with the Asia Safe Abortion Campaign for the past 10 years, and has also worked in clinical settings, research and analysis, health project management, monitoring and evaluation, and grants management both in India and abroad. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery from the University of Mumbai, India, and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA. She lives in Mumbai.

Michelle Y. Lee

Michelle brings more than 15 years of experience raising funds for progressive non-profit organizations in Washington, DC, USA. For the past 6 years, she served as the Development Director for the National Abortion Federation, where she was responsible for the management of development strategies and activities. Michelle earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and Master’s degree in Public Administration from George Mason University. She lives in Oxford, UK.  

We would also like to wish all the very best to Nandini Archer, who worked with us for the past two years as press and research officer, developed our country reports on trials and imprisonment of women and abortion providers, and built an excellent relationship with journalists in all parts of the world.
