SOUTH KOREA – Petition to government to amend abortion law and approve mifepristone

In September this year, a petition on a government website called on President Moon Jae-in to  amend the abortion law and approve the sale of mifepristone. The government has promised to respond to any petition that gains more than 200,000 signatures in a month. This petition got 235,000 signatories. INVIMA approves mifepristone for abortion in Colombia

  On 3 March 2017,  it was announced that Colombia’s Instituto Nacional de Vigilancia de Medicamentos y Alimentos (National Food and Drug Surveillance Institute, INVIMA) had approved the registration of mifepristone in Colombia for use in combination with misoprostol for induced abortion.
