We are delighted to share with you a letter we have written to our Senators demanding the approval by the Senate of Argentina of the bill for the Voluntary Termination of Pregnancy, which has already been passed by the House of Representatives. We are demanding its approval without modification in the Senate on 8 August 2018.
PLEASE HELP US TO GATHER AS MANY SIGNATURES AS POSSIBLE BEFORE 8 AUGUST. YOU CAN FIND OUR LETTER TRANSLATED INTO MANY LANGUAGES AND SIGN HERE. (If the form asks for a DNI, just put any number. It’s the national ID number in Argentina, but the form won’t send without a number.)
We would also like to invite everyone to support us with activities on 8th August. For example, a rally outside the Argentine embassy in your country. If you have any of the green handkerchiefs, hold a “Pañuelazo” (hold our signature green handkerchiefs high in the sky).

Groups in Barcelona, Mexico and Sweden have already said they will join us on this event in strategic parts of their cities, such as Argentine embassies or other symbolic places.
We really hope the 8th of August is the day abortion becomes legal in our country.
